Tinder will let you see who likes you before you swipe. But it'll cost you.

Tinder will let you see who likes you before you swipe. But it'll cost you.

What if you could see who'd already swiped right on you before you started sifting through the endless mass of potential matches on Tinder.

The dating app announced today that it will now let you do just that. The feature is part of a new members-only service called Tinder Gold that's rolling out in select markets shortly.

The "Likes You" feature will allow Gold subscribers to see how many likes they have on the same screen where they see your matches. They can then click through to see a grid of all their likes. From there you can either swipe left or right directly, or you tap to see a more detailed profile.

A gold heart icon will also appear on someone who's already liked you, if you're swiping through the normal way. Either way, you still both have to swipe right before a match is made. So this won't up the creep factor too terribly much.

While "Likes You" is the only brand-new feature offered as part of Tinder Gold, the upgrade (which is available to both Tinder Plus subscribers and free users) also includes a number of other perks. You'll also have access to Passport, Rewind, Unlimited Likes, Super Likes, Boosts, and extra profile controls.

It's not yet clear how much you'll have to pony up if you want a sneak peek of who's into you, but Tinder told TechCrunch it will be "only a small additional fee" for people who are already Tinder Plus members.

You've probably got a while to start saving your pennies, though, because it's initially being tested in Argentina, Australia, Canada, and Mexico.

It'll be rolled out everywhere after that. So prepare yourselves for an even more complex and expensive dating experience.
